There is much excitement among the Fortnite community as it has been teased that rapper Eminem is set to be part of the forthcoming Big Bang event.

Big Bangs have been iconic in Fortnite in the past, and it looks like developer Epic Games is set to deliver once again with Eminem – and his alter-ego Slim Shady – at the top of the bill. The rapper has put out a cryptic post saying ‘calling all Grandmas…’ that appears to be trailing his appearance.

With Season 4 approaching its end, Epic Games is planning one of its famous Fortnite Big Bang events, which always prove popular with committed fans and more casual players. Usually the end of a season comes with something dramatic, and information on what form this may take is thin on the ground.

But what we do know is that the event is on Saturday, December 2, starting at 2pm ET/7pm GMT. The experience will be available in the Battle Royale tile in Discover 30 minutes prior, which means players can jump in before the event starts to gear up with their cosmetics, Fortnite has said on its website.

Epic Games also warn that this event has flashing lights, which means that if you have a history of photosensitivity, seizure, loss of awareness, or other conditions linked to epileptic condition, consult a doctor before entering.

Fortnite has been in the headlines recently for its fan-pleasing season update a few weeks ago, which gave players the chance to experience skins, maps and weapons from Season 1 in 2017 – all remastered for 2023 – and has resulted in a significant uptick in people playing the game – more than 44 million.
