Niantic is gearing up to bring the wave of surprises with the Lunar New Year, the 2025 event starting on January 29 and running until February 2, 2025.
Lunar New Year Pokémon Appearances and Rewards
Players can expect to collect stunning Pokémon, the lucky and shining ones along with thrilling rewards and engaging activities. The pokemongohub mentioned,
“The Lunar New Year celebrates the Chinese New Year, and this year is the year of the Snake! As part of this celebration, Ekans and other snake-themed Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild.”
This event is getting celebrated in alignment with the new year and one of the major highlights is that the chances to attain Lucky Pokémon will be increased in trades.
Moreover, there will be an opportunity to enhance the connectivity, users will have higher chances of becoming lucky friends with others. By doing so, they can boost their chances of getting Lucky Pokémon in trades.
Throughout the event, several Pokémon will be more common in the wild, allowing players to try out their luck and catch Pokemon like Ekans, Onix, Snivy, Darumaka, Dunsparce, Gyarados, and Dratini.
