A source online has claimed to have found the date Stranger Things 5 is supposedly releasing.

The X account Stranger Things Scoop claims they examined Netflix’s website code and discovered the day it’s going to drop. However, it appears the lengthy wait fans have already had for another season is set to continue for a fair bit longer.
According to the account, season five will drop on Thursday, November 27, 2025. It said that the title ID listed on the website confirms it relates to Stranger Things.
It also said that, as it stands, the whole season will drop in one go. This makes a change from season four’s rollout, with episodes dropping in two parts.

Fans react to the possible leak
Fans of the show were surprised they’ve potentially still got almost a year to wait to finish the story.
“That’s way too long. That’s pretty much literally the end of the year,” one Reddit user pointed out. “It took a year to film and now it’s gonna take a year (technically 11 months) to come out. Don’t films and shows usually edit as they get footage?”
“The cast will all be married with their own children by the time the season is over….” another joked.
On X/Twitter, one user said: “No way we get Squid Games season 3 (season 2 dropped in December 2024) before Stranger Things season 5.”
“i’m sorry but i’m starting to lose my excitement because having to wait 3 and a half years for one season is insane,” said another. “i really thought we would get it by september at least but this is crazy.2
