WWE 2K25 is heading to The Island of Relevancy after 2K Games unveiled the Original Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, as this year’s cover star. Not only that, but the former WWE Champion’s entire historic journey with The Bloodline will be showcased as a major feature of this year’s edition of the long running franchise.

Reigns’, well, reigned, as both Universal and WWE Champion for almost four years as the Tribal Chief, bringing along his cousins the Usos and Solo Sikoa as well as ‘The Wiseman’ Paul Heyman and ‘Honorary Uce’ Sami Zayn to craft an unforgettable saga that cemented The Bloodline’s legacy as one of the most successful and top drawing factions in professional wrestling history.

Now this saga will be given it’s first virtual retelling thanks to WWE 2K25.

Watch the official trailer for WWE 2K25 below…

Both a Bloodline Edition and a standard edition of WWE 2K25 will be available (as well as an Undertaker themed Deadman Edition, but more on that a bit later), with the Bloodline version scheduled for worldwide release on Friday March 7, 2005, a week before the standard edition drops on Friday March 14.

2K Showcase: The Bloodline’s Dynasty will be the first retelling of the Bloodline saga and an interactive celebration of the legacy of the extended Anoa’i wrestling family – a dynasty that includes legendary figures such as The Rock, Yokozuna, Umaga, Rikishi and the Wild Samoans.

“It’s more than appropriate that the Original Tribal Chief and the extended Anoa’i family are the focus of WWE 2K25,” said Roman Reigns. “We’ve been building toward this moment for generations and I challenge players everywhere to show me and my Wiseman what they’ve got, and prove they’re worthy of the attention of their Tribal Chief.”

As if all that wasn’t enough legendary Samoan legacy related content for you, ‘The Island’  will be an interactive world made up of a series of areas built around different WWE themes, offering players the opportunity to explore and challenge other players, while vying to join The Bloodline with “The Original Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns. Side quests will be there for the taking, as well as various challenges and live events, earning unlockables while upgrading and customizing MySUPERSTARS through multiple storyline chapters along the way. This feature, which will only be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, is just one of several huge new ideas that 2K have evolved into this year’s release.

Intergender matches will now be a part of the WWE 2K franchise, while chain wrestling makes its return along with new match types such as Bloodline Rules and Underground matches. Barricade diving has also been implemented into the 2025 edition, with more details being released about these various new features in the coming days and weeks.

In addition to this slew of new features and upgrades from WWE 2K24, WWE 2K25 will still bring the much loved creation suite, MyGM, MyFaction and WWE Universe modes as well as a 300+ strong roster for the ages, including Cody Rhodes, Liv Morgan, John Cena, Rey Mysterio, Bret “Hitman” Hart, Stone Cold Steve Austin, ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage, Jacob Fatu, Rob Van Dam, Lita, LA Knight, Chyna, Batista, Trish Stratus, Booker T, Becky Lynch and tons more.

But the Bloodline are not the only ones being granted their own special edition. Everybody’s favourite zombie motorcycle enthusiast The Undertaker is emblazoned across the front of the Deadman Edition, dropping the same date as the Bloodline Edition and coming complete with the Standard Edition and Wyatt Sicks Pack, plus the Deadman Edition Bonus Pack which includes Mattel Elite “Greatest Hits” Undertaker*** and Original Undertaker (‘90) Persona Cards and playable Superstars, a useable Urn object, Undertaker ‘95 Mask cosmetic item for The Island on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only, and Brother Love Manager, plus a Season Pass to all five post-launch DLC character packs and 15,000 VC.

Oh, and you can now take your fights to the NXT parking lot and the WWE Archives, which promises to be a lot of fun.
