The Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 has just launched and Treyarch has already announced the Double XP event, starting January 30.
Double XP Event Arrives
This event has a separate fan base, liked by every COD player as it offers an amazing opportunity to level up quickly. Season 2 launched on January 28, introducing three new multiplayer maps, weapons, operators, and other updates.
Now, the Double XP event is all set for the COD enthusiast but for how long this event is going to last, the timeline has yet to be confirmed. Considering the staying period of previous Double XP events, this one may also remain for 4-5 days.
During this period, players can enjoy:
- Double XP – Increase player rank faster.
- Double Weapon XP – Upgrade weapons more quickly.
- Double Gobblegum XP – Earn rewards at a higher rate.
However, Double Battle Pass XP will not be included in this event.
Moreover, for those who are waiting to lay hands on the newly launched weapons in Season 2, this event is a golden opportunity, and they must grab it. The following weapons mentioned in Call of Duty’s Blog post can be unlocked through Battle Pass:
- PPSh-41 – SMG (Battle Pass)
- Full-auto submachine gun. Fast fire rate with impressive damage and high recoil. Moderate handling.
- Cypher 091 – Assault Rifle (Battle Pass)
- Full-auto assault rifle. Slower rate of fire balanced by great handling and excellent mobility.
- Feng 82 – LMG (Battle Pass)
- Full-auto light machine gun. Very slow rate of fire with great damage and handling.
All these weapons can be attained for free by progressing through the Season 2 Battle Pass.
New Event Coming Soon
Apart from the exciting news of Double XP, another stirring collaboration with a number of rewards is arriving soon: The Terminator-themed event, launching on February 6 as a part of Season 2.
This event will last for two weeks and offer 13 rewards for players who take part. It will have a distinct way for players to gain rewards; they will have to collect skulls. These skulls can be gathered by knocking out the enemies in Multiplayer and Zombies mode or by Opening caches in Warzone.
Adding to the excitement about Season 2, the leak suggests the Black Ops 6 collaboration with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Although the data miners have presented solid claims, still, it is still a rumor as nothing has been officially announced.
