Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, this year’s title has been continuously slaying since its launch day, has broken multiple records, and in no time, has become one of the most popular games.
Record-breaking Launch and Skyrocketing Sales
This title was developed by Warhorse Studios, released on February 4, 2025, and has gained an immense number of concurrent players, creating skyrocketing records on Steam.
Just within the first days, it made impressive sales, and even before the launch, the pre-order feature did a favor to the company, got enough orders, and eventually made its place on Steam’s best-seller charts.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is an RPG that offers medieval life gameplay in the open world with everything sitting right with the environment, like events, architecture, and more. It also involves the development of characters and offers choices and consequences-based games.
It had set a new record for the number of concurrent players; according to SteamDB user data, on February 4, it reached 159,351 players; February 5— 176,285 players; February 6— 185,582; February 7— 190,194; February 8— 233,586; and on February 9,— 256,206 players.
This was the record of the game’s first week, and now it has the 49th spot in all-time rankings on Steam. As for sales, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 isn’t behind in it as well; it has been officially confirmed that the game has sold 1 million copies in the first 24 hours.
Exciting Future with Free Updates and Paid DLCs
What’s an amazing point to note here is that it covers all the money that has been spent on development. According to estimates from sources like VG Insights, Gamalytic, and PlayTracker, the game has sold approximately 890,000 copies on Steam; these are the sales for only one platform.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is doing well enough that developers are planning to add DLC to keep the players interested by providing them with exciting content. But before this, players need to gear up for a major update that is going to be free of cost.
It will be introducing a horse racing mini-game, a Hardcore mode, and a barber feature, arriving soon. Furthermore, they have decided to release three paid DLCs during the summer, and afterward, these players can expect two more extensions in the fall and winter of this year.
The first one is named “Brushes with Death,” while the other two sets for later seasons are given the following titles: “Legacy of the Forge” and “Mysteria Ecclesia.” For now, the game has been progressing remarkably, and with more content on the way, it seems unstoppable.
