- Ubisoft addresses recent Assassin’s Creed Shadows leaks
- Game still undergoing improvements, leaks don’t reflect the final product
- Official release set for March 20, 2025, despite leaks

Ubisoft has finally addressed the Assassin’s Creed Shadow leak that happened recently. The developer has advised fans to refrain from stumbling upon the spoilers and sharing them.
Leaks Can’t Spoil the Final Experience
The game is officially going to launch on 20 March 2025, but unfortunately, due to unknown reasons, some players got access to both digital and physical copies of the upcoming title.
This eventually led to the leaked gameplay clips, weapon, and character images, along with other spoilers that impacted the excitement of the official launch. However, according to Ubisoft, these leaked copies don’t provide the whole idea of the game and do not reflect the final product.
The development team is still working on it and making the final improvements. They assured fans that players who have leaked content still can’t get the entire concept of the game and its other aspects.
Ubisoft addressed this situation and posted on Reddit,
“We are aware players have accessed Assassin’s Creed Shadows ahead of its official release. The development team is still working on patches to prepare the experience for launch, and any footage shared online does not represent the final quality of the game.”
“Leaks are unfortunate and can diminish the excitement for players. We kindly ask you not to spoil the experience for others. Thank you to our community for already taking steps to protect everyone from spoilers.”
“Stay in the shadows, avoid the spoilers, and keep an eye on our channel for more official surprises in the coming weeks!”
To keep up the thrill, Ubisoft has highlighted that they have amazing surprises to offer, giving fans hope that despite leaks and spoilers, the game will still be exciting.
Ubisoft’s Commitment to March Launch
Although the developer has made an announcement and dealt with the issue, some fans are now concerned about Ubisoft’s statement. They are questioning if the final version will be better as compared to the leak as if the version that surfaced wasn’t good; they are assuming that the final version won’t be outstanding as well.
Others have to say that the physical copies were made before the last-minute improvements, so they do not include the latest updates and changes.
Fans got worried that the game’s launch will be delayed again, the good news is that Ubisoft didn’t make alterations in the plan, it will be released on 20 March.
While leaks can affect both the developers and players negatively, players are eager to dive in game to experience the long-awaited stealth gameplay along with the samurai action.
