“As we all continue to live in a world where so many factors have conditioned us to ‘look before we leap,” creator and star Jason Sudeikis said in a statement. “In season four, the folks at AFC Richmond learn to LEAP BEFORE THEY LOOK, discovering that wherever they land, it’s exactly where they’re meant to be.”
“‘Ted Lasso’ has been nothing short of a juggernaut, inspiring a passionate fanbase all over the world, and delivering endless joy and laughter, all while spreading kindness, compassion and unwavering belief,” said Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV+. “Everyone at Apple is thrilled to be continuing our collaboration with Jason and the brilliant creative minds behind this show.”
So who’s back for another round?
Who’s back for season four?

Alongside the announcement, Sudeikis was confirmed to return for season four, so evidently Ted will be heading back across the Atlantic. After all, could you really have Ted Lasso without… well, Ted Lasso?
Currently, no other cast returns have been confirmed. We do know that Brett Goldstein is back on the writing team, but we don’t know if he will return as Roy Kent.
In addition, Nick Mohammad, who played assistant coach Nate Shelley, recently revealed he had changed some of the dates on his Show Pony live tour “for some filming I have not been able to shift for love of money.”
Others we might expect to see return include Hannah Waddington, Juno Temple, Phil Dunster, Nick Mohammed, Toheeb Jimoh, Cristo Fernández, Kola Bokinni, Billy Harris, and James Lance.
Which role is being recast?
It has been confirmed that the role of Ted’s son Henry may be played by a different actor next season. Producers are currently auditioning young actors who reportedly need to have some football experience.
Henry was previously played by Gus Turner and was mostly seen on FaceTime calls with his dad. According to reports, Turner has been invited to audition again for the role too.
