The latest Bond film came out four years again in 2021 called No Time To Die. The franchise has been around since 1962 with the first film Dr No being adapted into a film. It starred Sean Connery and since then there have been 26 other films. According to The Numbers, the film has made over $7.8 billion at the worldwide box office and is the third-biggest-earning film franchise of all time.

That’s why fans were surprised that there were delays to the film. Luckily now there is a positive update, and we are going to break it down.

James Bond: All The Updates

The Sun reported on some exciting updates about James Bond, reporting that it is being “fast-tracked”. The project will also have a budget of £250 million ($322 million).

An insider allegedly told the outlet, “The Bond bosses had already proposed broad plots and reboot ideas. The writers’ rooms are being assembled in the hope of recouping their investment ASAP”.

Also, the sale of the franchise has made the need to create a new script much more necessary. The source added, “Amazon wanted Bond for a number of reasons and one of them was to earn revenue”.

They continued to say although the merchandise and other things are worth money, they want the film to be finished by the end of 2026 to release it in 2027.

Who is playing Bond?

Those rumored to have been better to play Bond are Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Henry Cavill. However, nothing is set in stone. With the film being fast-tracked, we can imagine casting is too.

The Daily Mail did report an unknown actor was ‘in talks’ to play Bond. Mike Dickman, was allegedly being considered by Barbara Broccoli, one of the pioneers of the Bond films. A source said the “two of them met up in London last January, and it was a very cordial meeting about something unrelated during which Barbara brought up Bond. Mike ended up sending an audition tape”.

Apparently, after that Dickman sent in an audition tape, although this has not been verified.

Stay tuned for any Bond updates.
