- Wood shared picture of tribute on Instagram
- Her performance as Chelsea has earned a ton of plaudits
- Fans back in Manchester were quick to pay tribute to her

The finale of White Lotus’ third season was an emotional affair both on screen and off, especially for Aimee Lou Wood. As Wood’s Chelsea and partner Rick met their bullet riddled demise in the ponds of The White Lotus in Koh Samui, the Mancunian actor was showered with plaudits by critics, fans and co-stars alike. And her fans back home have also shown the Sex Education star a lot of love.
While the 31-year-old has shared the details of her emotional journey on the show in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, back home in Manchester, Wood received perhaps the best plaudits she could have hoped for.
R+C Forever
Taking to Instagram, Wood wrote, “I only went home once whilst filming White Lotus. This is what I saw on the first day back there. R and C forever” accompanied by a garage door spray painted with “I love you R+C Forever” inside a loveheart.
Speaking to Vanity Fair, Wood chronicled the journey of Chelsea and Rick, who died together after a shootout with hotel security at The White Lotus.
“The journey of Rick and Chelsea was very profound for both of us and was a big moment. I’m sure that [Walton] feels very similar to how I feel today, which is this kind of release of something. I feel like I have permission to let go of anything, and what I loved about her, I can carry on with me. Mike a few times was saying, ‘Have I made the right choice? Are people gonna hate me too much? Maybe I should change who dies.’ But I was always so peaceful. I was always like, ‘You’ve done the right thing. Chelsea has to die.’”
Aimee Lou (Holly)Wood
Up next for Wood is Film Club, a series for BBC Three in the UK, which she co-wrote with Ralph Davis. We can’t imagine it will be too long before Hollywood comes calling. If we could see her reunited with Big Walt for another on-screen partnership, that would be ideal.
Goggins himself paid tribute to his Mancunian on-screen love interest with an Instagram post of his own in the aftermath of the gut churning finale.
