- Season 3 of The White Lotus has come to a close
- But it isn’t just the nail-biting final episode that has had viewers on the edge of their seats
- Several members of the cast and crew have also reportedly been feuding – here’s all the details of the drama

The White Lotus has its fair share of drama.
But it appears that season three of the HBO series has been a case of art imitating life – as behind the scenes, the cast and crew have experienced a series of fallouts.
From one actor claiming the set was an “intense pressure cooker”, to two of the biggest stars reportedly being embroiled in a feud, here’s what the actors – and director! – had to say about the conflicts on the show…
Jason Isaacs and, erm, everyone?

Playing Timothy Ratcliff in this season of the show, Jason Isaacs had, erm, a lot to say about the cast dynamic.
“It was like a cross between summer camp and Lord of the Flies but in a gilded cage,” he said in an interview with Vulture. “It wasn’t a holiday. Some people got very close, there were friendships that were made and friendships that were lost.”
While he didn’t elaborate on which friendships were “lost,” Isaacs said the experience was “all the things you would imagine with a group of people unanchored from their home lives on the other side of the world, in the intense pressure cooker of the working environment with eye-melting heat and insects and late nights.”
He went on, “They say in the show, ‘What happens in Thailand stays in Thailand,’ but there’s an off-screen White Lotus as well, with fewer deaths but just as much drama.”
Declining to elaborate, Isaacs added, “I became very close to some people and less close to others, but we still all had that experience together and there’s a certain level of discretion required.” Cryptic…
Director Mike White and composer Cristóbal Tapia de Veer

Last week, the show’s composer Cristóbal Tapia de Veer told the New York Times he was quitting The White Lotus following creative differences with showrunner Mike White.
“We already had our last fight ever, I think,” he said. “He was just saying no to anything.”
And White has since hit out – and had a few choice words to say on the matter.
Responding to his comments, White told Howard Stern, “I honestly don’t know what happened, except now I’m reading his interviews because he decides to do some PR campaign about him leaving the show.
“I don’t think he respected me. He wants people to know that he’s edgy and dark and I’m, I don’t know, like I watch reality TV.”
White continued, “We never really even fought. He says we feuded. I don’t think I ever had a fight with him – except for maybe some emails.”
White added, “By the time the third season came around, he’d won Emmys and he had his song go viral, he didn’t want to go through the process with me, he didn’t want to go to sessions.
“He would always look at me with this contemptuous smirk on his face like he thought I was a chimp or something… he’s definitely making a big deal out of a creative difference.” Eek!
Walton Goggins and Aimee Lou Wood (say it ain’t so!)

And while their relationship may have been less-than perfect, viewers couldn’t help but be charmed by Rick and Chelsea Hatchett, played by Walton Goggins and Aimee Lou Wood.
But now it seems that even the on-screen couple have been fighting – as fans on Reddit have taken a deepdive into their relationship away from the show.
Noting that the pair have unfollowed each other on their main Instagram account – although Wood still follows Goggins’s sunglasses brand – one kind Reddit poster succinctly shared their theories behind what’s happened.
All of this followed by Walton Goggins posting 17 pics of him and Aimee Lou Wood on his ig stories all set to Silver Springs by Fleetwood Mac. Hollywood is so back baby https://t.co/gxn7LhaAcq

Revealing that they had “mapped out” the drama between the pair, another poster speculated, “I definitely think there was something going on between them and as most things do, it came out.”
They then went on to share a whole host of evidence – including how both parties shared several carousels of photos set to Fleetwood Mac’s infamous break-up song, Silver Springs; Goggins “overcompensating” to his wife, Nadia Conners; and the on-screen couple having a shared love of foxes. Make of that what you will…
