Katy Perry is heading out on the first all women group space mission. As a part of a Blue Origin mission, the I Kissed A Girl singer will form part of gaggle of women heading 62 miles above Earth. With an estimated time of 11 minutes, it will cross the Karman line, which is widely considered to be the crossing point for space.

The venture is the debut mission of the New Shepard programme, otheriwse known as the NS-13.

The girlboss space trip is seeking to “create a lasting impact that will inspire generations” after becoming the first ensemble trip made up of women. It will break the record set by engineer Valentina Tereshkova’s solo journey into space back in 1963.
