- A brave fan made her feelings known to Paul Mescal this week

It’s not often that you get within reaching distance of a Hollywood actor like Paul Mescal.
So it’s no wonder that when the opportunity arose for one fan, she decided to take her chance.
Sharing a video to her TikTok page, content creator Bridie showed herself meeting Mescal at the stage door of his Broadway play, A Streetcar Named Desire.
As he signed autographs, the social media user passed him a piece of paper – which looked as though it had her phone number written on it.
Set to George Michael’s Father Figure – a song that has come back into the public psyche, thanks to Harris Dickinson’s performance in Babygirl – Bridie captioned the video, “A girl’s gotta shoot her shot.”
And it seemed as though Mescal agreed.
The Gladiator star, 29, laughed and shook his head as he read the note – before folding it up and putting it in his back pocket.

Even though Mescal is dating singer Gracie Abrams, others also thought that Bridie may be in with a chance.
In a comment that racked up 227.5k likes, one user wrote, “He was about to give it back, saw you and put it in his pocket. You win.”
Another comment, which accumulated 129k likes, added, “He doubt, he looked, he kept it.”
As one joked, “I mean… that’s not a rejection”, someone else said, “GIRL I HAVE FAITH. He looked at you, grabbed the note, gives it back to you, takes a look at you again and keeps it LMAOOO.”
Another went on, “It’s the way he looked at u… did a double take and ended up putting the card in his pocket.”
Others laughed that Bridie would now have to be obsessed with her phone.
“The way I’d have to pick up every single call ever forever,” one said. Another added, “If you ever get prank called…”
And some praised Bridie’s courage.
“A closed mouth doesn’t get fed!!!” said someone, as anohter went on, “I looooove people that is courageous.”
‘He loves Daisy!’
However, some fans were quick to warn Bridie of Abrams, 25 – joking that she is “going to write a song about you”.
But others thought that Bridie had bigger competition to deal with – Mescal’s Normal People co-star, Daisy Edgar-Jones.
Since the show came out in 2020, fans have hoped that Mescal and Edgar-Jones would start a romantic relationship – despite insisting that they are just friends.
And after she posted the video, they couldn’t help but speculate whether Bridie “looks like Daisy”.
“Do you look like Daisy Edgar-Jones by any chance?” asked one. Another went on, “Do you resemble Daisy Edgar-Jones perchance?”
While some asked if Bridie knew he was “in love” with Edgar-Jones, others said the Twisters actor is the “final boss” to defeat.
“Sorry babes, we know he’s waiting for Daisy,” another continued. Another joked that if Bridie wanted a date with Mescal, “Tell him Daisy will be there and I promise he will make it happen.”
