Once again, the audience misses a key detail and this time it’s Michael B. Jordan playing twins in Sinners. Jordan, 38, stars in Black Panther director Ryan Coogler‘s, also 38, new smash hit horror. He plays two gangster brothers, Smoke and Stack who return to Clarksdale Mississippi their hometown for a new business opportunity.

However, the brothers night of blues and alcohol is interrupted by some terrifying evil, something unfamiliar to the God-fearing southern folks. The film is shaping up to be a critical hit, although its opening weekend box office draw ($63 million) has been criticized by the media.

A key part of the movie is the brothers, yet many viewers overlook the fact that Jordan plays both roles. Before the film’s release, Jordan has spoke on using a twin consultant to prepare for the role, but still some users don’t know.

To say the least, the revelation flabbergasts users. Eagle-eyed viewers will see it is Jordan in both roles, but not everyone is that observant.

In a viral X post, one user confessed they did not know about another famous ‘twin’ pairing. They said, “Somewhere there’s a kid watching Sinners who for years is going to think Michael B. Jordan has a twin just like my dumb*** did with Lindsay Lohan back in the day and that makes my heart happy”.

For context, Lindsay Lohan played twins in the hit 1998 movie The Parent Trap. Lohan does not have a twin in real life, but we thought she did as kids.

In response to the post, one user replied, “Glad I wasn’t the only one and I was convinced the one of the left was the hotter one.”

Well, Stack is the hotter twin, even if it is Jordan playing him and Smoke.

Another user compared their unawareness of the twin to Armie Hammer’s role as the rich Winklevoss twins in The Social Network.

Another unaware user expressed how “blessed” they’d feel if Jordan had a twin.

Even the children don’t know he does not have a twin. One user confirmed this, “My teenage son! Even though I explained to him it was movie magic. He said…’Nah mom…he gotta a twin for real…you tripping’ I said ‘Ok,'” the user said.

Meanwhile, another user put forward a theory the role was for someone else.

“I think role was written for Johnathan Majors buts due to recent events they played up the twin angles,” the user theorized.

Speculation alleges Majors could have played a part in Sinners, as he is friends with Jordan. However, his December 2023 conviction of third-degree assault and harassment of an ex-girlfriend has tarnished his reputation. Therefore, online sleuths believe this connection led him to lose major roles like Sinners or the Dennis Rodman film he was dropped from following the allegations.

One user expressed approval over Jordan’s twin portrayal and the symbolism behind it. “I like that one of the Michael B Jordans was Red and the other was Blue. All the best brothers are colour coordinated, like Mario and Luigi,” stated the user.

The general consensus online is that people did not know Jordan is not a twin.

“Me realizing Michael. B Jordan isn’t really a twin,” posted one surprised user.

Similarly, one user admitted they once thought Jordan was a twin because his amazing performance made them forget he isn’t.

In conclusion, the film makes it hard to find out which Jordan is which, and this tricks audiences into thinking he has a real-life twin.

“I’m so dumb thinking there were 2 different actors playing the twins lol. My face figuring out which one is Michael B Jordan and whoever the other actor was/is/isn’t,” said another post.

Unfortunately there is no Michael C. Jordan.
