- One tattoo artist has tattooed Memezar’s logo on their body
- Came from a challenge posted on Memezar’s Instagram page
- All started with a Memezar follower’s DM
How far would you go to get mentioned on your favorite Instagram page? Make a funny video? A near-the-bone meme? Or would you get yourself inked with the logo? Well, the latter is just what one Memezar fan has done.
It all started when a follower on Memezar’s broadcast channel DM’d the team asking: “If you pay for my next 2 tattoos one of them will be your logo on my ankle.”
That’s one way of getting out of paying for tattoos – they are expensive, after all. But the Memezar team, democratic to the core, decided to put it to the millions of followers of their Insta. The question, “should I pay her to get a Memezar tattoo?” received more than 8,000 responses, with the overwhelming majority voting for the ‘that’ll be dope’ option, rather than ‘nah, not worth it.’
But things are never that simple. The original DM-er was taking her time getting the promised tattoos, so the Memezar team put out another poll, asking “would you get a Memezar tattoo on your body!?” Again, the result was conclusive: more than 6,000 said “no, only if Memezar pays me” with just over 800 saying they would if Memezar replies to its messages.
This led to one tattoo artist taking matters into their own hands – literally. They sent in a 20-second clip revealing their latest ink – the Memezar logo, alongside a couple of fish from Spongebob Squarepants, all impressively drawn.
It went down well with Memezar’s followers too – most going with the “hell yeah” response.
It just goes to show what some people will do to get Memezar’s attention. What will fans do next? Keep an eye on Memezar’s Insta to find out!
