We all love a good horror movie.

But could the new film In a Violent Nature have taken the genre a step too far?

The flick – which is described as a slasher from the killer’s perspective and is set to hit theaters on May 31 – was screened as part of the Chicago Film Festival. And while some audience members went wild for the movie, Twitter/X account Film Updates reported that one audience member had been so terrified by what they saw on screen, that it actually caused them to throw up.

While (thankfully) you can’t actually hear anyone vomiting in a leaked soundbite from the screening, there’s plenty of awkward laughing and shocked voices in the clip… as well as cheering and applause once the scene was over.

Of course, this has only piqued the interest of the horror-fanatics out there – and with an initial score of 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, it’s safe to say that the Chris Nash-directed movie is sure to be a hit.

“Well, guess it’s not a movie for a weak stomach, huh?” noted one astute social media user, while another confirmed, “I was at this screening. If this is the kill I’m thinking of, people with a weak stomach might lose their lunch watching it. Probably with all the laughter I didn’t hear anyone throwing up.”

“Saw this a while ago, I know exactly what scene they’re reacting to, y’all aren’t ready,” someone else teased, while another added, “So what ya telling me is, I need to see this movie.”
