- First confirmation that Galactus will be the main villain in MCU’s Fantastic Four
- British actor Ralph Ineson will play Galactus
- John Malkovich has also joined the cast

Ralph Ineson, who rose to fame as Finchy in the UK version of ‘The Office’ has been confirmed as playing the main villain, Galactus, in the upcoming Fantastic Four film.
Ineson has a long line of TV and film credits over the past 20 years. Credits include playing Amycus Carrow in the Harry Potter films, Dagmer Cleftjaw in Game of Thrones, as well as parts in Sherlock, Peaky Blinders and Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Eagle-eyed MCU fans may also recognise him from Guardians of the Galaxy, in which he played a Ravager pilot.
The actor, famed for his deep voice, has posted his reaction on social media, saying: “Actual Marvel Villain, get in!”
Ineson joins a stellar cast for the first outing of the iconic team in the MCU. Pedro Pascal will take on the role of Reed Richards/Mr Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby is Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn is Johnny Storm/The Human Torch and Ebon Moss-Bachrach will be Ben Grimm/The Thing.
Separately, acting legend John Malkovich will also be appearing in the film, although his role has yet to be announced.
The confirmation that Galactus will be the main villain ends months of speculation from fans about who the Four would come up against. Galactus is an established character in the comics; a cosmic entity known as the ‘Devourer of Worlds’ – as that is what he does – he has fought many Marvel superheroes over the years, including the Fantastic Four. He first appeared in 1966 up against the Fantastic Four, and is still in the comics today, although he was dead for two years between 2020 and 2022 before being resurrected.
All this will ramp up expectations for the film, which hits theaters on July 25, 2025.
