Steaming service Spotify has unveiled its 2024 Songs of Summer finalists, whittling down its initial shortlist of 30 to 15, and adding in five new wildcard tracks.

Eclectic mix

The toplist is an eclectic mix of tracks, including a mix of established global stars and up-and-coming newer artists as well as several genres of music. Taylor Swift is included, with a song taken from her record-breaking album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’.

One particular artist that is hot right now is Chappell Roan, who has two tracks in the list. The US artist had one of the sleeper hit albums of 2023 with ‘The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess’ and is now heading for greater stardom.
