Additionally, the movie achieved the top two spots for the single biggest day at the domestic box office in July and secured the biggest opening weekend of 2024.
Globally, Deadpool & Wolverine has amassed an astonishing $438 million, marking the largest R-Rated movie opening worldwide.
In celebration, Marvel Studios took to X with a clever nod to the film’s success. They shared an image of Hugh Jackman in his Wolverine costume recreating the iconic meme from X-Men: The Animated Series. In the meme, Jackman’s Wolverine is seen lounging with a photo frame showing that Deadpool & Wolverine is the #1 movie in the world.
