- Swift is set to rake on $2 billion upon completion of all 152 dates of the Eras tour
- The estimate doesn’t include resale tickets – or merchandise
- Swift released a statement this week, in condolence to the victims of a knife attack in the UK

She’s already one of the richest women in music.
And now Taylor Swift’s Eras tour is set to make the pop star even richer.
The Karma singer, 34, has already raked in a whopping $1 billion from the tour, which celebrates hits from her 17 year career.
But by the time the 152 dates wrap up in December this year, Swift will reportedly take $2 billion to the bank.
“One source close to the production said early in the Eras Tour era that her average gross each night is $14 million,” Variety reported this week. “Others believe that is a highly conservative estimate, with a possible total that on at least some nights edges closer to $17 million.”
This is a huge influx from Forbes’s original predictions – who put the figure in the ballpark of $10-13 million.
Even more surprisingly, this estimate excludes inflated ticket resale prices – and the hundreds of millions made in merchandise.
“She is the torchbearer for the live industry,’ Pollstar editor Andy Gensler told Variety. “It’s nothing we’ve ever seen before, and it’ll be a long time before we see it again.
“Her timing was exquisite: The pandemic created this yearning and hunger for live entertainment like nothing else in our history, so she couldn’t have picked a better time to go out.”
Swift makes statement after Southport attack
Elsewhere, Swift released a statement earlier this week and gave her condolences to the victims of a knife attack in the UK.
Three children – Bebe King, six, Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, and nine-year-old Alice Dasilva Aguiar – were killed and eight were injured at a Swift-themed dance and yoga camp in Southport, after an armed boy – who has now been identified as 17-year-old Axel Rudakubana – entered the class and began what police described as a “ferocious” attack.
Yoga teacher Leanne Lucas, 35, is also in a critical condition, as well as another unnamed adult.
‘The horror of yesterday’s attack in Southport is washing over me continuously and I’m just completely in shock… The loss of life and innocence, and the horrendous trauma inflicted on everyone who was there, the families, and first responders,’ Swift wrote in an Instagram post.
‘These were just little kids at a dance class. I am at a complete loss for how to ever convey my sympathies to these families.’
A JustGiving page was set up by Swifties Cristina Jones and Holly Goldring, and has so far raised almost £340,000 ($434,000).
