- Prince William, King of Dad Jokes
- William heard to tell Knock Knock jokes
- Princes William and Harry in dad jokes Mexican standoff

William, Prince of Wales and future King of England, is set to take up another crown way ahead of his main regal duty… King of Dad Jokes.
The British press crowned him the King of Dad Jokes a few months back and in classic dad fashion, we’ve only just heard the gossip.
William’s King of Dad Jokes moniker cropped up at a charity event in Britain after he was heard to tell Knock Knock jokes to a bunch of school kids.
His jokes were dubbed delightfully cheesy and groan-worthy by anyone who was in hearing distance: “Why did the scarecrow win an award? Because he was outstanding in his field!” Arf arf.
Prince William of Wales, who also goes under the title Duke of Cambridge, was believed to be having a pun-derful time at the school near Birmingham, in the English West Midlands.
Now everyone in the UK is wondering how long the prince’s reign as King of Dad Jokes will last given that he has other contenders in the royal household such as his own daughter, Princess Charlotte. Indeed, it was the princess who spilt the beans about her dad’s cheesetastic puns to the British public.
More cynical commentators were heard wondering if Princes William and Harry would somehow become reconciled over a dad jokes stand off. One royal insider said, “Prince William takes his King of Dad Jokes role very seriously. He practices puns in the mirror and has a dad jokes calendar on his desk.” The competition could become heated.
It’s not known if Prince Harry is as committed to dad jokery yet, but everyone is eager for both of them to set a date for their dad jokes stand off.
Surely a case of “go for your pun!”
