- Fast food chain is working with production companies to create original shows
- Chick-fil-A hopes to launch its streaming service before the end of 2024
- Reports that a family-friendly game show has already been commissioned

In brand diversification we didn’t see coming news, fast food chain Chick-fil-A has revealed plans to launch its own streaming service.
Family-friendly shows
The chain, famous for its chicken sandwiches and waffle fries, is apparently working with production companies with a view to creating family-friendly original shows, with a focus on unscripted and reality shows. Variety adds that Chick-fil-A is also looking to licence content to run on the planned platform.
Variety adds that Chick-fil-A has made a 10-episode order from Glassman Media – famous for shows such as The Wall – and Sugar23 (13 Reasons Why) for a game show.
It has been reported that budgets for unscripted shows run to $400,000 per 30-minute episode. In addition, scripted shows and animations may also be on the table. Brian Gibson, an industry veteran, has been reported to be leading the programming side for Chick-fil-A and negotiating with various producers on projects.
Deadline reported that Chick-fil-A plans to launch its streaming service before the end of this year.
This isn’t the first time Chick-fil-A has tried to break into entertainment. In recent years the company produced a series of animated films, Stories of Evergreen Hills, which ran on its website.
However, Chick-fil-A itself is remaining tight-lipped about the reports and has yet to publicly comment.
Favorite chain
Chick-fil-A was founded in 1946 and has grown to have more than 3,000 restaurants in the US. In 2022, Chick-fil-A was named as the US’ favorite fast food chain by the 2022 American Customer Satisfaction Index – the eight consecutive year it had won the accolade. Chick-fil-A also has the highest per store sales of any fast food chain in the US.
