He’s one of the culinary world’s biggest names.
But despite his wealth of cookery knowledge, Gordon Ramsay is always up for trying new ideas – however bizarre they may be.
This week, the British chef, 57, took a leaf out of Dua Lipa’s book to create the singer’s viral soft drink.
On October 5, the Levitating vocalist, 29, shared a clip of her concocting the beverage in a restaurant, which consisted of Diet Coke… and, weirdly, pickle juice.
While in Austin to perform at Austin City Limits Music Festival, Lipa stopped by the local establishment – and shared the strange concoction online in a TikTok video.
“Everyone is staring at me,” she said as she added whole jalapeños to the soda. “The lady in the back is like, ‘What the hell is she doing?’”
After getting her friends to try her secret recipe, the reviews were mixed.
“It’s randomly not bad,” one friend said, while another said, “Oh that one’s really pickle-y.”
Another friend was clearly not a fan as she made a sour face after her taste test.
Finally, the 6.4 million fans who viewed the clip were able to watch Lipa’s reaction to her pickle-jalapeño Diet Coke. “That is,” she said, looking satisfied.

Anyone who has watched Kitchen Nightmares will know that Ramsay is no stranger to an odd recipe – so fans were delighted when the chef shared a video to his 40.6 million TikTok followers of him trying the drink.
“Had to try what @Dua Lipa was cooking up,” he captioned the post. And it seemed that his followers were keen to watch as well – as the post garnered 4.6 million views and 239.1k likes.
“Christ, okay, let’s go,” Ramsay began, as he poured the contents of the soda can into a red plastic cup.
Adding “a little bit of jalapeño juice”, he also put in a dash of pickle juice, pickle slices, a few jalapeños – before topping it all off with more Coke.
“Here goes, seriously,” Ramsay said as he lifted the cup to his mouth to take a big sip.
However, the drink was clearly not to the chef’s high standards – as he immediately turned to the side and spit it out!
Getting his breath back, Ramsay had a word with Lipa.
“Dua Lipa, for God’s sake, girl!” he exclaimed. “You’ll ruin your vocal cords!”
But the pop star wasn’t having any of it, and cheekily commented back, “Gordon!! You’re getting lost in the sauce!!!” she wrote.
