Game Science, the Chinese game developer has made a groundbreaking billion-dollar mark by generating a revenue of $1 billion. Thanks to Black Myth: Wukong which resulted in this groundbreaking achievement.
It made enough revenue from Steam alone leading to Game Science becoming one of the top-earning companies on this platform. This relatively new studio is now in the same league as other popular gaming giants – 2K, Bandai Namco, and Activision.
Game Science now ranks 12th in Steam’s top publisher’s list which also includes legendary studios like Rockstar. Black Myth: Wukong was released on 19th August on PlayStation 5 and PC and just in one month 20 million copies were sold, quickly becoming the hot topic of every table talk.
Much of the explosive success credit goes to the marketing strategy – Fans were mesmerized by the stunning visuals, gripping gameplay, and rich storytelling and couldn’t resist grabbing this spectacular game.
What’s even more mind-blowing is that the studio has regained all the amount- $42.4 spent on Black Myth: Wukong’s development and now making profits significantly.
