Acting icon Harrison Ford has defended the MCU, despite filmmakers like Martin Scorsese suggesting that superhero films shouldn't be considered cinema.
The 82-year-old Captain America: Brave New World star told GQ Magazine it would be "silly" to avoid Marvel movies as they offer something viewers clearly enjoy.
"I’m participating in a new part of the business that, for me at least, I think is really producing some good experiences for an audience. I enjoy that.”
Ford also dismissed Quentin Tarantino's claim that Marvel has led to the death of the movie star and his suggestion that MCU roles are bigger than the actors who play them.
"I think it's rubbish..." Ford told GQ. "There’s wonderful actors coming up every day. Whether or not they become movie stars is really not the point. If movies need stars, they will find them."
