Rumors have been around that the Hazelight Studios is back with hints towards another upcoming game after making groundbreaking success with It Takes Two. The new game title is reportedly said to be “ Split Fiction”, after Josef Fares- Director of Hazelight Studios shared a tweet on October 17:
“Getting a lot of questions about the next game. Here is a tease. It is a BRAND NEW IP called S**** ******N. Can’t wait to show it soon.”
On the same date studio’s official account dropped a tweet as well, sharing an image, sparking speculation about Split Fiction‘s unique split-screen gameplay. The image contains multiple hints for the eagerly waiting players like a sticky note presenting three diagrams of screen splitting.
According to recent reports, the game will feature dynamic transitions between horizontally and vertically divided screens, with the potential for diagonal divisions, adding a creative twist to the co-op experience.
With It Takes Two, The Sweden-based studio- Hazelight has sold over 20 million copies and also heading towards celebrating its 10th anniversary. It is anticipated that more updates pertinent to Split Fiction will be shared soon.
