- Overwatch 2 director Aaron Keller announced the return of limited-time 6v6 team compositions in Season 14, starting with the Min 1, Max 3 mode on December 17 and a 2-2-2 setup after the New Year.
- Blizzard is focusing on player feedback to refine gameplay mechanics and ensure a more balanced experience in Overwatch 2, aiming to create modes that cater to various playstyles.
Overwatch 2- Return of 6v6 Modes
In an official announcement, Aaron Keller- Overwatch 2 director has confirmed the release of multiple modes and the return of 6v6 team compositions for a limited period in Season 14.
But before jumping into the 6v6 mode the focus lies on testing the 5v5 in Season 13. In Season 13 players can try out 5v5 mode- Limit 2, in this mode a team can have a maximum of two players for each role and it will be available soon.
The next one in lines is the Kingmaker mode, quite similar to the previous one but here is a twist, if a team has only one player in a specific role, that player will receive a significant power boost.
Moving on to the 6v6 modes, players can first lay their hands on is- Min 1, Max 3, launching on December 17, which allows players to have up to three players. But the condition goes as: they must include at least one Tank, Support, and Damage role.
Last but not least- the 2-2-2 setup, which involves two players for each role will be available after New Year. Players’ feedback worked well and Blizzard has made changes and now hoping that it will improve Overwatch 2.
