Dive Into a Haunting Prequel Adventure
Metro Awakening is releasing soon on November 5, 2024, but to keep up the thrill Vertigo Games shared a 7-minute gameplay, offering players a little sneak peek into the story.
This game is a prequel to the original Metro 2033 launched in 2010, based on a novel written by Dmitry Glukhovsky. The prequel, Metro Awakening VR- Virtual Reality game takes players into a haunted and eerie environment and makes them dive into the story of the character- Khan.
The game description goes as: “Become what you fear… You are Serdar, a doctor braving the darkness, crippling radiation, and deadly threats of the Metro in the search for your wife and the medication she so desperately needs.
As your courage and sanity are pushed to the limit you must learn to walk the line between life and death, the spirit and the material world, and awaken the being you will become… Khan.”
It involves exploring, revisiting the past, and surviving with limited resources. As the story unfolds it gets deeper and intense, pushing you to confront both physical and psychological challenges.
An Insider- Grant Taylor-Hill from Insider Gaming shared his preview of the game, “I can’t stress how true to the franchise Metro Awakening remains,” he said.
“It helps that it has always been an immersive FPS series, but the VR perspective takes things one step further, planting you as close to the post-apocalyptic world as you’d ever want to be.
So, mark your calendars for November 7- spooky season is going to be intense this time with the Metro Awakening, launching across PlayStation VR2, Meta Quest 2 and 3, Steam VR, and Viveport.
