  • Grimes was a fan of Olivia Rodrigo’s question and her reasoning behind it

  • Grimes and Musk were a couple between 2018 and 2022 but have been involved in legal action over paternal rights to their children

Olivia Rodrigo has not only shared her very specific ‘red flag’ question that she asks on first dates, she has also given Grimes an opportunity to publicly shade her ex, Elon Musk.

During an interview with Netflix on Instagram, the 21-year-old sensation discussed the different tank tops she had sported on stage during her recent ‘Guts’ world tour, one of which was a throwback to Britney Spears’ now iconic ‘Dump Him’ tee. This conversation then segued into Rodrigo revealing the one question she asks on a first date, noting that it was very specific.

“The biggest red flag, okay, this is a very oddly specific question that I ask guys on first dates. I always ask them if they would want to go to space.

“And if they say yes, I don’t date them. I just think if you want to go to space, you’re a little too full of yourself. I think it’s just weird.”

Elon Musk, meanwhile, regularly talks about colonising Mars. Which is a completely normal thing for a grown man to say with a straight face, I’m sure you’ll agree. The X CEO and Donald Trump’s biggest cheerleader has long held a passion for space exploration (and colonisation, it would appear), which allowed his ex-partner Grimes, with whom he has three children, to seamlessly throw shade at the world’s richest man.

Under a post quoting Rodrigo’s remarks on X, Grimes replied, “It’s true. Only women should be going to space.”

Grimes and Musk first began dating in 2018, but split in 2022, after having three children together; son XAE-A-Xii, daughter Exa Dark Sideræl, and son Techno Mechanicus.
