Squid Game season 1 introduced us to Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae). He was a gambler at odds with his life who was lured into the Squid Game by a mysterious salesman.

Together with 456 others, Gi-hun was forced to endure a series of children’s playground games with deadly twists. While the winners made it through to the next round, losers met a bloody end.

While little is known about the plot of Squid Game season 2, we do know that the previous game’s hero Gi-hun will return for another few rounds alongside some new players. He’s not the only familiar face who will be back either.

Read on for details of every returning character set to appear in Squid Game season 2.

Squid Game season 2 – Which actors are returning?

Squid Game season 2 sees Gi-hun ditch the red hair he was seen sporting in the final moments of the first season to re-enter the Squid Game alongside some new contestants. As you might imagine, this means we’ll meet a lot of new faces when the show returns although there are some familiar faces accompanying Gi-hun in the show’s new episodes.

As revealed by Netflix, Jung-jae will be joined by Lee Byung-hun who reprises his role as the sinister Front Man, a masked figure who was seen pulling many of the strings in the show’s first outing. The Front Man is also the leader of the Squid Game’s heavily armed staff and is responsible for making decisions on who will live and who will perish.

Together, they’ll be joined by Wi Ha-jun as the police officer we met in Squid Game season 1 who entered the game while searching for his brother. During this dangerous mission, he learned that he shared an unlikely connection to those behind this mysterious game.

Finally, Gong Yoo will return as the suited salesman who convinces Gi-hun to enter the Squid Game during the show’s first season. His reappearance was teased during a short Squid Game season 2 trailer which shows the Salesman recruiting new players.
