It’s one of the most anticipated movies of the year.
But the on-screen drama in Wicked isn’t the only thing that has people talking.
As the cast of the musical adaptation embark on the press tour for their film, Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande – who play Elphaba and Glinda in the picture – have worn some beautiful gowns during their interviews.
And as Grande, 31, donned yet another dress fit for the Good Witch, she was lucky enough to have someone to make sure its train looked presentable – boyfriend Ethan Slater.
The actor, 32, who plays Boq in the movie, was pictured carrying Grande’s floor-length ball gown down a flight of stairs in Australia – and his actions didn’t go unnoticed.
In a chat with Entertainment Tonight, Grande was asked “how adorable” she found the sweet gesture.
“It’s always that,” smiled the Dangerous Woman singer. “He’s always that adorable and he’s so amazing in this film. He’s such an amazing person, I’m so happy people are getting to know him. My heart is very happy.”
‘They’re so cute!’
Fans were quick to note Grande’s enthusiasm for her partner on social media.
“Oh she is over the cloud that her man is getting appreciated,” wrote one viewer, while another commented, “Stopppp they’re so cute.”
Someone else added, “She’s happy guys SHE’S HAPPYYY.” Another agreed, “He’s lovely and they seem so happy together.”
Grande wasn’t the only one to gush over their partner – as Slater also paid tribute to his girlfriend.
“I’m so proud of Ariana,” he revealed. “She’s incredible in this movie. She and Cynthia are mind-blowing in this movie, and I think I’m not alone in the cast of feeling kind of privileged to witness that chemistry on set.”
Grande separated from her ex-husband Dalton Gomez in February 2023, after two years of marriage.
Just days after news broke of her split in July of that year, a source close to the situation revealed Grande was dating Slater – who was also going through a separation from his wife Lilly Jay, with whom he shares a two-year-old son.
