  • Alec Baldwin returned to Saturday Night Live to parody the newly appointed secretary of health and human services
  • Trump’s other cabinet picks, such as Matt Gaetz, were also parodied during the episode
  • Baldwin has previously won an Emmy for his previous impersonations of Trump on SNL

Alec Baldwin made his return to Saturday Night Live this past weekend but, rather than taking down president-elect Donald Trump with yet another series of scathing impressions, Baldwin instead focused on one of Trump’s highest profile cabinet nominations instead.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr, the newly appointed secretary of health and human services for the upcoming Trump administration, has somewhat primed himself for parody given, y’know, his brainworm situation, the fact he once decapitated a dead whale with a chainsaw, his involvement in that bizarre dead bear in Central Park case and, well, EVERYTHING ELSE.

So, with RFK Jr declaring that he would ‘Make America Healthy Again’ after abandoning his own presidential campaign to throw his support behind Trump, JFK’s nephew received the Alec Baldwin treatment this past week on SNL.

Baldwin, who won the Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his portrayal of Trump in 2017 (and two further nominations in 2018 and 2021), left the president-elect duties to James Austin Johnson while tackling the incoming health czar in typically robust fashion.

With SNL cast member Sarah Sherman channeling her inner Quagmire from Family Guy for her impersonation of Attorney General nominee Matt Gaetz, Baldwin entered to huge applause from the studio audience, painfully gravel-laced voice and all to take down RFK Jr with a enthusiastically received cameo.

“Americans need someone to teach them how to be healthy, someone like me: a 70-year-old man with movie-star looks and a worm in his brain,” Baldwin’s Kennedy said, before later adding, “I care deeply about a woman’s right to choose: to choose to give her child polio.”

With the studio audience lapping up Baldwin’s work, the three-time Emmy winner signed off by saying, “All right, I’ve got to go. I’ve got a dead dolphin in my car. I think I might saw it in half and dump it in Central Park.”

Before his appearance this past weekend, the Oscar nominee had most recently appeared on SNL as Fox news anchor Bret Baier, back in October.
