Ke Huy Quan will play the lead in a new horror film shown from a dog’s perspective – but you will have plenty of opportunities to see him before that.
Quan is set to star in Bad Boy, which will start shooting in August, according to Deadline.
Here is the official synopsis: “Gary is a good boy who loves his new owner, Cameron (Ke Huy Quan). He gets treats and belly rubs and life is great. Gary isn’t allowed in the basement though. And even if he was, he can’t unlock doors. But there’s a girl (Lili Reinhart) in the basement. And she can’t come out to play. Gary doesn’t know it, but he’s her only chance.”
While that film sounds fun, we won’t be seeing it until 2026 at the earliest. But Quan is set to appear in three films coming out this year.
Love Hurts
In this action-comedy, Quan stars as Marvin Gable, a successful realtor whose past as a hitman comes back to haunt him when his former partner reveals that his brother Knuckles is hunting him. Action and laughs ensue.
This film is out February 7.
The Electric State
This sci-fi film from Netflix is set to be a blockbuster, with an all-star cast and direction from the Russo Brothers, who have overseen films such as Avengers: Endgame.
The Electric State is set in alternate version of the 1990s where sentient robots exist alongside humans, after a robot uprising failed. Quan will star as Dr Amherst alongside a wealth of big names including Chris Pratt, Millie Bobbie Brown, Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci and Anthony Mackie.

Zootopia 2
In this sequel, Quan will be voicing Gary – nothing to do with the dog in Bad Boy – a mysterious snake who is being pursued by Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, who are now partners in the Zootopia Police Department.

The Goonies 2
Ok, The Goonies 2 won’t be out this year – if it comes out at all – but it is another that Quan could be in.

After years of talk about a sequel to the cult classic, one seems closer than ever before to happening. While nothing has been confirmed, it is hoped that the sequel will involve some or all of the original gang in some way.
