This news was confirmed in the summer of 2024 after the Illya Naishuller-helmed original followed a suburban dad’s return to his past life as a hitman after his family became the next intended victim of an organised crime mob.

While the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic delayed the first, its follow-up is ticking along nicely and is expected in theatres this summer on 15 August 2025.

Here is everything we know about Nobody 2 so far.

Who is starring in Nobody 2?

Along with Odenkirk, the cast list sees the return of Connie Nielson, who brings Hutch’s wife, Becca, to life.

They are joined by RZA and Christopher Lloyd. The former plays plays Hutch’s adopted brother while the latter plays his father, a retired fed. Nolan Grantham and Pyper Braun will portray the young Hutch and Becca in flashbacks.

Also returning are the Mansell children, played by Gage Munroe and Paisley Cadorath. However, it implies that their characters, Blake and Abby, must go into hiding as they are listed with fresh names, such as Brady and Sammy.

One of the biggest stars added to the project is Sharon Stone, who is believed to play the villain. Other additions include Colin Hanks and John Ortiz.

Is there a trailer?

A trailer has yet to drop, but we will let you know once it arrives.

What do we know about the plot of Nobody 2?

Little is known about the plot besides the promise of lookbacks at Becca and Hutch’s younger years. It has also been hinted that the movie is in the same world as John Wick, so perhaps there’s the promise of Easter Eggs.

Sitting in the director’s chair this time around is Timo Tjahjanto, whose credits include Killers, V/H/S/94, and The Night Comes For Us. He gave an insight into the themes that will be present in the flick.

“You’ll see a lot of the questions that fathers and husbands ask — ‘How do they react to this other side of me who’s constantly hustling and working for the family?’ It’s gonna be quite a journey,” he told Empire magazine.

Tjahjanto continued,“We do away with the whole drab, gloomy factory/warehouse feel of the first film.”

What is happening behind the scenes?

John Wick creator Derek Kolstad penned the first one alone, but for the second go, he recruited the talent of Aaron Rabin and Umair Aleem and the leading man, Odenkirk.

The executive producer is Hacks’ David Hyman, and it is produced by John Wicks’ Leitch and his wife Kelly McCormack. Braden Aftergood, Marc Provissiero and Chad Stahelski make up the rest of the returning production team.
