Filming on The Immortal Man – the big screen version of the much-loved Peaky Blinders TV show – has wrapped filming, so here is all we know about the movie.
The Peaky Blinders TV series, which told the story about a group of gangsters in Birmingham in the early years of the 20th century, has become a global phenomenon.
The show ran for six seasons and 36 episodes from 2013-22. The show was initially set in 1919, just after the end of World War I, and follows Tommy Shelby, his family and members of the gang until 1933. It followed Shelby’s rise in the gangster world to eventually being elected to Parliament and fighting fascists. It was shown on the BBC in the UK and Netflix around the world.
As soon as the show ended, there was talk about making a movie version of the show and creator and writer Steven Knight confirmed it was happening in December 2023, with filming starting in September.
