In the same announcement, Rudd announced the Christmas Day release day, asking the camera,“You wanna get scared? You wanna laugh? You wanna celebrate with your friends? Or maybe you’re alone and sad and have nobody, but just wanna forget about that? It’s coming out on Christmas in 2025.”
The original series was released in 1997 and starred Jennifer Lopez, Owen Wilson and Ice Cube. The 1997 thriller told the story of a National Geographic production crew. It all turns dark when they are taken prisoner by a hunter, played by Jon Voight, seeking to capture the world’s most dangerous snake.
After earning $136 million, it was a certified hit and led to four follow-ups.
