Legendary actress Sharon Stone has shockingly revealed she was dropped unexpectedly from Another Simple Favor. Another Simple Favor is the sequel to A Simple Favor which starred Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick. The Paul Feig-directed film follows mommy blogger Stephanie as she gets wrapped up in solving the disappearance of mysterious rich woman Emily Nelson. The movie was a smash hit but hasn’t been without its drama. The sequel will release on 1 May on Prime Video.

At the Another Simple Favor premiere in early March 2025, clips surfaced of the movie’s stars talking about each other. When Lively was asked about working with Kendrick again she declared it was “the best.” However, Kendrick had less enthusiastic things to say about her co-star.

Kendrick asked how it was working with Lively again and replied vaguely, “Oh, you know…” Also when confronted with the question of how the movie is being impacted by “everything that has happened” she replied coyly.

Kendrick asked the reporter, “Why? What’s happened?” Fans thought the actress was shady to Lively, who is currently tangled in a publicized legal battle with her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni. Social media users thought the reference “everything that happened” was about Lively’s ongoing legal struggle.

It appears that is not the only drama surrounding Another Simple Favor! Let’s break down what Stone said about being cut from the film.

What did Sharon Stone say about Another Simple Favor?

The actress directly called out the movie in an Instagram comment on 13 March. Stone reportedly commented under an Instagram reel talking about the drama at the SXSW premiere of the film. Here is the reel.

Although it appears that Stone may’ve deleted her comment, influencer Eyal Booker acknowledged the comment on the post. He said: “Vote to get Sharon Stone in the sauna button ——>”.

They want Stone to talk, don’t they?

Deadline reported The Casino star’s comment under the post reportedly read: “I LOVED being cast and removed from my role unexpectedly for no reason at all LOVED it 👏👏👏.”

Shady, shady, shady.

Oddly, there was no news previously about Stone being cast in the film. You’d think considering what a big star she was in the 90s that they’d publicize that, but maybe not. Another Simple Favor did add some new cast members to the second movie such as Allison Janey as Aunt Linda.

The second film also has a new setting in the Italin Riveria. The film has a mystery like the first, only this time it isn’t a dissaperance and is a murder. It appears that Emily has escaped or left prison, and there is an ambigious point about whether she wants revenge on Stephanie or not. If revenge is a dish best served cold, then Stephanie will be frozen.

Has Paul Feig or the cast commented on Sharon Stone’s claim?

At this time, Feig, Kendrick and Lively have not commented on Stone’s accusations. However, if they do, best believe we will follow them up with updates!
