- Wicked co-stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo took part in Vanity Fair’s lie detector challenge
- Grande was able to use the test to debunk rumors that she had received plastic surgery
- She later questioned whether the moon landing is real or not

She’s one of the most talked about stars on the planet.
And now Ariana Grande can finally put an end to claims that she has had plastic surgery – after undergoing a lie detector test.
In the series for Vanity Fair, the singer, 31, and her Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo, 37, both took on the challenge – which Grande welcomed with open arms to set the record straight.
“Did you ever get any work done to feel more popular?” began Erivo, before asking Grande about several procedures.
The Boy Is Mine singer denied getting a nose job and a boob job – with the polygraph examiner confirming that she was telling the truth.
Of a face-lift, Grande said, “No, not yet. I’m open,” while she looked confused and asked how they created a chin implant.
She added, “This is the best day of my life. Take that you YouTube people!”
The R.E.M. Beauty founder also shared that she did not get a “fox eye lift” and that she had never heard of that particular procedure until she was wrongly accused of getting one.
“I discovered it through people who thought I did and I said thank you,” she joked.
Grande did admit to having fillers and Botox “in various places” but that she stopped “like four years ago” – something which she has been open about in the past.
“That is the extent,” Grande confirmed, before noting that she is “in full support of all people who do these things.”
“Whatever makes women, men, non-gender conforming people feel beautiful should be allowed,” she said. “Why do we care?”
However, the best was still to come – as Erivo then asked Grande if she had ever gotten a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).
“Get the f*** out of here,” she laughed, before joking, “Yes.”
When the polygraph examiner said, “She’s being deceptive,” Grande confirmed that she would never get a BBL. “That wouldn’t work for me. I don’t think that’s my thing and I’m okay with that, you know?”
‘What do you take me for?’
In another clip from the test, Grande can be seen getting frustrated – as the lie detector found that the results were inconclusive when she claimed she believed that the moon landing was real.
Addressing her co-star, Erivo asked, “Do you think the moon landing was fake?”
Laughing, “Jesus Christ. What do you take me for?”, Grande was left unsmiling when the machine ruled her response as inconclusive.
Eviro asked her once again if Grande really thought the moon landing was fake, to which she replied, “No, not ‘til now. Not ‘til Stephanie [the test operator] puts that in me.” But still the machine reported that Grande was being ‘deceptive’.
It was then that Grande admitted, “And honestly, haven’t we all been there?”. The God is a Woman singer also questioned why there haven’t been “more videos” like the first moon landing. Completely frazzled, Grande insists that she believes in the moon landing and that the segment has been a “nightmare,” and her being from Florida makes it worse.
In the end, Eviro tried to wrap up the segment nicely by announcing, “Ariana Grande believes that the moon landing is real.” Grande, exasperated but relieved, echoed, “Of course I do!”
We believe you, Ariana…
