According to Caine, Beyonce was “only nineteen at the time, I think, and a very nice person.”
However, despite her young age, Caine could already see how determined she was with her career goals. “You could already tell how focused she was and how big a star she was going to be.”
“I remember the first day on set, I asked her what her ambition was, and she said, ‘I want to win an Academy Award for a movie.’ Not a trace of arrogance, just clarity.”
The moment clearly left a mark on Caine, someone who has starred in his fair share of pop-culture cornerstone hits. Continuing to write in his memoir, The Muppet Christmas Carol actor shared that he has no doubt that Beyonce will achieve her Academy Award goal one day.
“I’m sure she’ll win an Oscar eventually. She’s already won a bunch of Grammys!”
