Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 November 21 update has developed a wave of mixed emotions among fans.

Profile Reset Bug Sparks Community Concern

It has brought an unexpected bug that resets profile data in both Multiplayer and zombie modes. The issue has left many fans annoyed, especially as they lose saved progress—earned after grinding for hours, including solo game saves in Zombies.

While the update was designed to introduce exciting new content—the Hit List event, a refreshed multiplayer playlist, and bug fixes, it unfortunately resulted in unintentional data loss.

However, the few game areas are safe from this technical curse—Players’ challenges, weapon progression, and mastery camo progress remain unaffected. Still starting over again in Zombie mode won’t be an easy task, more likely to upset players.

Developer Response and Ongoing Updates

Treyarch— the game developer  has acknowledged the problem and shared the progression through X post,

“We are investigating reports that some Multiplayer profile data has been reset after the November 21 Update. Multiplayer Challenge and player progression have not been impacted.”

They also mentioned the Trello link, so players can keep themselves updated regarding the fix. Yet it is not confirmed how much time will be required to resolve this issue.

Adding to the discontent, Call of Duty’s anti-cheat system failed to work as efficiently as players were assured about it. Players report that hackers have bypassed the game’s anti-cheat system, tainting one of the most competitive modes.

Despite these setbacks, the Hit List event is the right choice to take all the frustration out, enclosing ultimate rewards and challenges. The return of fan-favorite modes like 10v10 Moshpit also adds variety to the gameplay.

With the developers’ response, it’s clear that players will soon get rid of this bug. Till then they can look out for more updates and hope for a smoother gaming experience.
