- Fans will not have long to wait for Early Access and Open Beta versions to drop
- Beta versions will drop on all platforms at the same time

News for all fans of Call of Duty that the wait to see the new game is almost over: the beta for Black Ops 6 will be available very soon – and will drop on all platforms simultaneously for the first time.
First look
Asa revealed in the Call of Duty podcast on YouTube, the Early Access beta of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be available from August 30 to September 4, with the Open Beta following on September 6-9.
Early access will be available to Game Pass subscribers and anyone who has pre-ordered the game. The open beta, as the name suggests, will be available to all.
In recent years, Call of Duty betas have been PlayStation exclusives only, but this time it has been extended.
Continuing story
Black Ops 6 was confirmed in May by Activision after months of rumors. The developer has since revealed a host of details about the game, including that it continues the story events from Black Ops 2, which was released in 2012.
Set in 1991, the game again features Adler, who was in Black Ops 2. Frank Woods is still running the team, and he and Adler – mislabelled as traitors and on the run – must develop their own resources and team to clear their names and derail a new threat to democracy. Once again, players are warned to trust no one.
The full game will be released on October 25 and will be available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X and S as well as Windows.
