• Champions League draw will decide round of 16 and potential quarter and semi-final ties
  • Manchester City not involved in draw for first time since Pep Guardiola became manager
  • Final will take place in Munich on May 31, 2025

We are down to the last 16 in the UEFA Champions League, with the last eight teams qualifying for the knockout phase after a series of tense playoffs ties during the last couple of weeks.

The eight playoff winners join the top eight teams from this season’s revamped opening league phase, with each team learning their fate not only for the upcoming round of 16, but also potential quarter and semi-final match ups, as well.

With the likes of Manchester City, Juventus and AC Milan all eliminated during the playoff phase, the revamped format has already claimed some heavy hitters and, with some potential blockbuster match ups poised for the round of 16, more will fall before the quarter-final stage.

Each team’s potential opponents in the last 16, quarter-finals and semi-finals are pre-defined by pairings determined by teams’ final league positions.

The quarter and semi-final draws will also determine which teams will host the first and second legs off each tie.
