There are many viral moments from the inauguration but this one wasn’t on anyone’s bingo card. Although the day was about the inauguration of Donald Trump, viewers online were focused on other things. In particular a moment between Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos’ fiancée Lauren Sánchez.

The moment has gone viral. Sánchez attended the inauguration with her Amazon CEO beau and Zuckerberg went with his wife Priscilla Chan. During a conversation with Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, a photo was captured of the moment.
Page Six reported on the story, which has since done the rounds online. Sánchez was dressed in a beautiful Alexander McQueen suit, but the fashion wasn’t what raised eyebrows.
So what exactly happened in that moment, and how did people react?
Who is Lauren Sánchez?
She may be best known for her relationship with Bezos, but before she was with the 61-year-old, she was already well known. Sánchez was previously an entertainment reporter. She worked at Fox Sports as an anchor and correspondent and founded her own aerial film and production company. In 2024 she released her first children’s book and has worked with Bezos on projects with his companies.
What happened with Zuckerberg and Sánchez ?
The short answer is nothing. It’s more just speculation and tabloid fodder. During the conversation with Trump’s son-in-law, the apparent photo showed Zuckerberg glancing down at Sánchez’s chest while Bezos was occupied talking to Kushner.
Sánchez and Bezos have been together for a few years, publically since 2019 when the divorce between the billionaire and his ex-wife Mackenzie Scott was finalized.
Zuckerberg is married to his college sweetheart, pediatrician and philanthropist Chan. With all these A-listers involved, the Internet had something to say.

The controversy by users online was directed at the 40-year-old Facebook founder since he was the one who was the subject of the viral moment.

Users in the comments laughed at the post and joked that this moment showed he was “human”. For context, some people seem to think that the billionaire looks like he isn’t human. We’re just the messengers.

Lauren Sánchez’s “inappropriate” outfit
Others had harsher words to say but not for the man who was ‘looking’. No, some harsh words were directed towards Sánchez and her outfit. These users branded the 55-year-old’s outfit as “inappropriate” and like she was wearing “lingerie”.

Another user agreed with Haworth’s opinion, branding the outfit as “inappropriate”. They said: “He could be noticing she is only wearing a designer bra under her jacket. Very inappropriate for the occasion”.
However, other users on X defended Sánchez’s white power suit moment, which was a slay for the fashion of it all.
