Sir Elton John recently admitted that he could not watch his new musical The Devil Wears Prada due to eyesight problems.
He commented while at a special charity gala performance of the show for The Elton John Aids Foundation. The play stars Vanessa Williams and is based on the 2006 film of the same name.
Speaking on the West End stage, John said, “I haven’t been able to come to many of the previews because, as you know, I have lost my eyesight. So it’s hard for me to see it. But I love to hear it, and boy, it sounded good tonight.”

Mila Kunis
Mila Kunis told Cosmopolitan in 2011 that she “was blind in one eye for years, and nobody knew.” The eyesight issue was prompted by a cataract, which was fixed by surgery.
Bono
Bono – whose real name is Paul Hewson – was told he had a glaucoma after a routine eye exam in the 90s. The U2 frontman was able to fix the problem with a treatment plan from his doctor. Experts say the problem, once considered a surefire route to blindness, can be tackled.

Since 2008, Missy Elliot has suffered from Grave’s Disease, which is an autoimmune condition that often leads the eye to become more prominent and appear to be bulging. However, after treatment, it got better. This was detailed to PEOPLE magazine by Elliot.
Kristen Bell
Kristen Bell revealed her strabismus, which causes a lazy eye, meant getting dubbed Wonky by movie crews. She made the admission while appearing on the Late Late Show. She has had the condition since her birth in 1980.
Dame Judi Dench
Dame Judi Dench was told she had dry age-related macular degeneration in one eye and wet age-related macular degeneration in the other in 2012. To continue with her acting career, Dench was given different low-vision tools.
Venus Williams
Tennis superstar Venus Williams suffers from Sjogren’s syndrome, an autoimmune condition that impacts the body’s ability to produce moisture. Dry eyes can cause vision issues, which Williams says she tackles with eye drops after getting the news in 2011.
Stevie Wonder
In 1950, Stevie Wonder was born blind due to retinopathy of prematurity, a condition that can occur in premature babies. Despite this setback, Wonder has gone on to become one of the most successful musicians of all time. His hits include Superstition and Isn’t She Lovely.
