Hi! My name is…Grandad. Eminem’s daughter, Hailie Jade Scott, and her husband, Evan McClintock, have welcomed their first child into the world – making rapper Eminem a proud grandad.

Scott took to Instagram yesterday to share the news of her newborn son. The photo shows baby Elliot in a knitted hoody, with the caption “Happy due date//3 weeks earthside little e”.

On a letterboard behind her son, she revealed baby Elliot’s birthday as 14 March 2025. Elliot already shares something in common with his famous grandfather, as Scott has honored her father by giving Elliot ‘Marshall’ as his middle name.
Eminem, who also uses the name Slim Shady as his angry alter ego, was born Marshall Bruce Mathers. The 52-year old is yet to publicly comment on the wholesome news.
Amongst the comments, was a heartfelt message from Eminem’s half-brother Nathan ‘Nate Kane’ Mathers, who wrote: “You guys are going to be amazing parents! And Elliot will have the best uncle and grandpa! ❤️❤️”.
Pregnancy was revealed in Eminem music video
Scott and McClintock revealed they were expecting their first child together in a music video for Eminem’s song Temporary in October 2024.
The video includes emotional footage of Eminem sobbing before walking his daughter down the aisle. Later, Scott surprises him with the news by gifting her father a Detroit Lions jersey with “Grandpa” printed on the back. She also gives him an ultrasound photo of her future child, and the 15-time Grammy winner looks visibly shocked as she giggles beside him. You can watch the moment in the video below:
Balloon pop gender reveal
On her podcast Just A Little Shady, Scott shared the exciting news that she and her partner are expecting a boy.
The couple, who tied the knot after eight years of dating, revealed the gender by popping a gold balloon.
Toward the end of the episode, Scott popped the balloon, and a burst of blue confetti rained down, confirming they’re expecting a son.
The couple married in May 2024 in Battle Creek, Michigan. According to TMZ, it was a “modestly sized” ceremony held at the Greencrest Manor, where close friends and family were present to watch them say I do. It was a star-studded affair with frequent Eminem collaborators in attendance, including the likes of Dr. Dre and 50 Cent.
Following the wedding, Scott posted a photo on Instagram of her and husband McClintock sharing a kiss. She captioned the wedding photo with “Waking up a wife this week 🥲💍 We couldn’t have asked for a better, more beautiful weekend celebration. So so many happy tears were shed, laughs & smiles were had, & so much love was felt. Evan and I are feeling so grateful for all of the family & friends that traveled to support us and be a part of this new chapter of our lives as husband & wife 🤍”
