Less than a year after fans swooned over Penelope and Colin’s friends-to-lovers romance, the wheels are already turning on production of Bridgerton’s next instalment.
Season four will focus on Benedict Bridgerton, the second eldest Bridgerton sibling. It follows the story of the third book in Julia Quinn’s series, An Offer From A Gentleman.
The series is slightly out of order from the book series, in which Benedict’s story comes before Colin’s.

Is there a release date for Bridgerton season four?
A release date hasn’t yet been confirmed, but a 2026 release is a likely possibility. The show has already begun production.
So far, each season has landed two years after the previous one – season one in 2020, season two in 2022 and season three in 2024.
“We are working to try and put the seasons out more quickly, but they do take eight months to film and then they have to be edited, and then they have to be dubbed into every language,” showrunner Jess Brownell told The Hollywood Reporter .
“And then writing takes a very long time as well, so we’re kind of on a two-year pace, we’re trying to speed up but somewhere in the range.”

Benedict’s about to meet his match in the form of Sophie Baek. However, to start with, he doesn’t know the name of the woman who catches his eye at his mother’s masquerade ball. He refers to her only as the Lady in Silver.
“What’s striking about Season 4 is that it’s the struggle between a proper old-school fairy tale — the romance of it — and the actual reality of the world,” Luke Thompson, who plays Benedict, told Tudum. “And both are true. You have to hold both of them — the romance and the reality — in your hand. In its best version, ‘true love’ happens in the middle of that.”
Who is in the Bridgerton season four cast?
The major new addition to the cast is Yeri Ha, who will portray Sophie Baek.
She is one of four new cast members, the first East Asian characters we will see as part of the ton. Katie Leung joins as Lady Araminta Gun, a twice-married, twice-divorced matriarch who has two daughters debuting on the marriage mart this season.
Michelle Mao plays her eldest daughter Rosamund Li, a vain girl eager to please her mother, who also has her eye on Benedict. The younger, kinder sibling, Posy Li, is played by Isabella Wei.
As for the returning cast, Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton will be returning as Penelope and Colin Bridgerton. We’ll also see Francesca Stirling (Hannah Dodd) and her new husband John Stirling, Earl of Kilmartin (Victor Alli).
Other returning cast members include Jonathan Bailey as Anthony Bridgerton, Adjoa Andoh as Lady Danbury, Golda Rosheuvel as Queen Charlotte, Julie Andrews as the voice of Lady Whistledown and many more.
Is there a trailer for Bridgerton season four?
No trailer has been released yet as the next season of Bridgerton is still in production. It will likely be released closer to the time of the series dropping on Netflix.
