- Zuckerberg has some meaty plans if he ever gives Meta up
- The Meta CEO sat down for an exclusive chat with Pubity at annual Connect event in California
- Is a Michelin Star in his future?
Mark Zuckerberg is known for many things. He is known for his technological innovations, his role in developing the most influential social media platforms in the world and, of course, he is known for smoking meats.
The Meta co-founder and CEO has been making meat smokey for a good few years now and, rather than it merely being a hobby that he indulges in with a few friends once in a while, Zuckerberg’s devotion to his craft goes way beyond a backyard BBQ for a few weekends out of the year.
In fact, during an exclusive chat with Pubity at Meta’s annual Connect event in Menlo Park, California, last week, Zuckerberg discussed his passion for farming and how he would love to evolve it into something more. And that could potentially involve a dramatic post-Meta career shift.
“I do the farming. I’ve been known to smoke some meats from time to time,” Zuckerberg begins when discussing which other ‘side quests’ he would like to partake in after his previous adventures with MMA and surfing, “I do want the beef that we produce in Ko’olau to be the highest quality beef in the world. I have this whole plan to do that. We’re going to feed the cows better quality food than you can get at any commercial ranch, because everyone else is constrained as they can’t put more into the cows than what they can sell it for at the end.
“My joke with my kids is that if I’m ever done with Meta I’m going to create ‘Mark’s Meats’ and I do want it to be a Michelin Star meat restaurant. It’s more tangible than Meta and the kids can wrap their heads around what that looks like.”
Not content with taking over the meat smoking world, however, Zuckerberg is also contemplating launching his own clothing line, with a range of Julius Caesar and Roman Empire inspired t-shirts potentially hitting his Instagram store in the near future. He’s currently working on his own clothes with famous designer Mike Amiri including his now famous ‘Zuck Or Nothing’ tee which he debuted at last week’s Meta Connect.
Zuckerberg had previously mentioned, when asked about producing movies as a ‘side quest’, that the work he has done in recent videos with Matthew Vaughn, John Cena and Benson Boone is part of a bigger project that he is very excited about.
Perhaps the Meta co-founder could combine two of his side quests and produce a TV show called ‘Mark’s Farm’ where he raises the cows as a full-time ranch hand before, y’know, turning them into ribs, steaks, burgers and briskets for his smokers at Mark’s Meats. The series finale is a cliffhanger where Zuckerberg eagerly awaits the news as to whether he’s received a Michelin Star. Just saying, Mark, if you’re reading this, this is all absolute gold and could span at least eight seasons and multiple spin-off shows. Let’s talk. Again.
