- Fan Frustration with Unlimited Hero in Overwatch: Classic event.
- Imbalanced team compositions lead to unfair and exploitative matches.
- Blizzard extends no-limit mode, dividing fan reactions.

While the announcement of Overwatch: Classic initially sparked excitement among fans, the decision to allow unlimited hero picks has quickly become a point of contention.
Nostalgia Meets Chaos in Overwatch: Classic
For the event’s first few days players can make teams including all kinds of heroes—worst team combo to the best. While some fans are all set to have a throwback to Overwatch’s early days, others are heavily criticizing this feature, showing displeasure and demanding a limit for heroes.
The idea of having no-limit heroes sounded pretty fascinating at first but as soon as players have experienced it—they have only met with frustrating gameplay. They are encountering extreme team compositions that feel impossible to counter.
One of the most hated setups involves teams with a blend of Windomakers and Mercy—can revive them all and boost their damage—an unbeatable pairing, according to The Gamer.
“Me wiping out the enemy team except for the mercy who undone my attack and brought everyone back”
For most players these imbalanced setups have ruined the competitive and strategic gameplay, replacing it with pure Chaos. Many argue that this aspect induces bias in the game offering an edge and favor to one team over the other.
Blizzard Extends No-Limit Mode Amid Backlash
While fans were expecting this torturing no-limit to end Blizzard just added to their suffering by announcing that,
“Due to overwhelming demand, we are extending no limits in Overwatch: Classic through the weekend! The new end date for no limits is now Nov 18.”
While gamers dumped down the statement “overwhelming demand” by displaying the opposite reactions. The unlimited hero feature was introduced to recreate the feeling of OG Overwatch released in 2016, but things don’t always turn out as planned.
For now, fans can only be patient and look forward to November 19 when all the mess will settle down and the game will be more balanced.
