- One creator has now fired back at the harsh words – and fans have leaped to Fahy’s defense
Meghann Fahy and Leo Woodall first met on the set of The White Lotus three years ago – and have been in a relationship since early 2023.
But despite their sweet romance, some have criticized Fahy, as she is six years older than her boyfriend, 28.
After a slew of comments online about the pair’s ‘age-gap relationship’, one social media user felt compelled to put an end to the nonsense, once and for all.
In a video shared to her 224k Instagram followers, creator Tasha Lustig said, “I have to talk about this Leo Woodall thing, because people have lost their collective minds.
“The comments sections have lost it, they’re in cuckoo land. They’re like, ‘She looks old enough to be his mom.’”
Lustig went on to compare Woodall to model Gigi Hadid – as, while the pair are the same age, Hadid is currently dating actor Bradley Cooper.
“But he is the same age as Gigi Hadid,” Lustig went on. “And these are the comments in relation to Gigi and Bradley Cooper… Bradley Cooper is nearly 50 years old.
“What’s the difference? Why is she [Meghann] getting loads of hate and saying she’s old enough to be his mother – what, when she was six? Please, babe, have your head checked.
“Bradley Cooper being nearly 20 years older than Gigi… ‘Hot’, ‘smoking’, ‘slay’.”
Lustig added, “You literally just hate women aging over 21. Like literally, if a woman looks over 21, ‘Don’t want to see it, don’t like it.’”
Fans rush to defend Meghann Fahy
Fans of Fahy were quick to show their support.
“I love you for pointing this out!” one told Lustig. Another continued, “They look adorable together. That is a normal age gap. The double standard will always bother me.”
Someone else said, “In a world where Leonardo DiCaprio is almost 50 and still dating women under 25, let’s not shame a woman for dating someone six years younger. BIG yikes to the people shaming her, she looks fantastic and your jealousy is showing.”
Others compared Woodall and Fahy’s relationship to their own situation.
“I am a 36-year-old woman dating a 27-year-old man, I’ve never been happier in my life and we are absolutely soulmates, age has nothing to do with it!” they said.

Others said they were “tired of the double standards for women”.
“This double standard will never not bother me!” they wrote. “Why are the 50 year old men congratulated for ‘settling down’ with much younger girls? I’m looking at you Jon Hamm, Dane Cook, Chris Evans!!!!”
Another agreed, “It angers me so much. She doesn’t even look that old, she’s gorgeous. People really need to leave misogyny for good and worry about, idk, ongoing wars and world hunger instead of a celebrity’s age or relationship. Call people out when a 16 year old dates a 35 year old or something.”
Some spoke about how the rise in plastic surgery and ‘tweakments’ mean we’re no longer used to seeing women age naturally.
“He has a baby face. She looks her age. Y’all just don’t know what women who don’t start Botox and fillers right out of high school look like anymore,” wrote one supporter.
Someone else went on, “Just because she doesn’t stuff her face with a ton of Botox and fillers, doesn’t mean she looks 40+ years old.
“As a society, we have totally lost perception of standard looks for certain ages, because girls start with plastic surgery at 20. Meghann literally looks her age. She gets hate literally because she’s able to fully use her face to smile and frown.”
And another kind commenter wished all the best for the couple.
“I really hope they manage to maintain privacy for their sanity and don’t suffer under the pressure of the spotlight,” they said.
