What does the message say?
If you call the number, a voice is heard saying, “Thank you for calling the Hawkins Police Department. Due to the recent 7.4 magnitude earthquake, Hawkins is currently under lockdown for the safety of our residents.
“The Hawkins emergency task force is working close with Hawkins P.D to track down missing persons of which Jane Hopper is a priority. We urge you, as responsible citizen of Hawkins, to assist us in our search to locate her.”
What was the reaction to the Stranger Things Easter Egg?
Saying goodbye to the residents of Hawkins, the Indiana town, the 80s period feature will be tricky, so people seemed grateful they had upped the fun to soothe the pain.

The series has made stars out of Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard and Noah Schapp. It also gave comeback vehicles to veteran talent like Winona Ryder, Sean Astin and David Harbour.

Lots of people were gagged by the hint for the show, which is due to air its last season.
