Stranger Things is teasing the fifth season of the sci-fi Netflix series with fun new interactive features for their eagle-eyed viewers.

Fans can ring the number on Eleven’s missing poster, which is teased in the upcoming episode’s trailer, to get a message from the series’ Indiana local police department. The update comes from Stranger Things News.

“If you call the phone number that’s on El’s missing poster you get a voice mail from Hawkins PD! I tried it myself and it works,” the account posted on X.

What does the message say?

If you call the number, a voice is heard saying, “Thank you for calling the Hawkins Police Department. Due to the recent 7.4 magnitude earthquake, Hawkins is currently under lockdown for the safety of our residents.

“The Hawkins emergency task force is working close with Hawkins P.D to track down missing persons of which Jane Hopper is a priority. We urge you, as responsible citizen of Hawkins, to assist us in our search to locate her.”

What was the reaction to the Stranger Things Easter Egg?

Saying goodbye to the residents of Hawkins, the Indiana town, the 80s period feature will be tricky, so people seemed grateful they had upped the fun to soothe the pain.
